L’Observatoire de Haute-Provence – UMS Pythéas est un site d’observation de l’INSU du CNRS pour l’astronomie, l’environnement et l’étude de l’atmosphère. Il accueille des chercheurs de toutes nationalités qui utilisent ses moyens performants, télescopes, lidars, et plateforme d’étude de la biodiversité. Il est aussi très actif dans l’enseignement et la formation, et est le seul observatoire en activité dont on peut visiter les installations.
OHP – UMS Pythéas is an observation site of INSU/CNRS for astronomy, the environment and the study of the atmosphere. It welcomes researchers of all nationalities who use its powerful means, telescopes, lidars, and platform for studying biodiversity. It is also very active in education and training, and is the only observatory in activity that can be visited.
Galileo Teacher Training Program (GTTP)
The goal of the Galileo Teacher Training Program (GTTP) is to train teachers in the effective use and transfer of astronomy tools and existing resources freely available on the internet, into classroom science curricula. Through workshops, online training tools and basic education kits, the products and techniques developed by this programme can be adapted to reach locations with few resources.
International Astronomical Search Collaboration (IASC)
IASC is an educational outreach program for high schools and colleges. It provides high quality astronomical data to students around the world. Students are able to make original astronomical discoveries and participate in hands-on astronomy. This service is provided at no cost to the participating schools!
